| Buddhism was introduced to China around the first century AD.Then,large-scale translation activities started.A large number of Sanskrit Buddhist scriptures were translated into Chinese,which continued until the Northern Song Dynasty.Buddhist scripture translation is the first climax in the history of Chinese translation.In more than ten centuries,it has formed a rich Chinese translation of Buddhist classics.The millennium-long Buddhist classic translation work has expanded the Chinese vocabulary and expressions.Also,it has had a profound impact on the language and culture of our country.With the in-depth study of Buddhist Chinese,we have discovered that many linguistic facts and linguistic phenomena derived from the original texts.Therefore,it is of great significance to carry out the study of translating buddhist sutras into Chinese based on Sanskrit-Chinese translation.In this paper,we take the verbs in Sanskrit text Lalitavistalah’s first ten chapters as the research objects.The Fang Guang Da Zhuang Yan Jing,translated by Dipoheluo,is the comparative translation of this book.We take comparative use of Sanskrit and Chinese Buddist sutras as the method to investigate the Chinese translation of the tense-aspect of the verbs in Lalitavistalah.(the first ten chapters)in Sanskrit text.In addition,we analyze the the linguistic phenomena in Chinese translation that may be affected by Sanskrit and summarize some rules.We hope it can provide a reliable source for enriching the study of Buddhist Chinese grammar.This article is divided into 4 chapters:Chapter 1:Introduction.This chapter is mainly divided into four parts and makes a brief introduction to the reason of topic selection,the current research status,Lalitavistalah.and its translator,research content and research methods.Chapter 2:The Chinese translation of the verbs in the tense-aspect system.This chapter describes tense-aspect system of the verbs in Lalitavistalah.(the first ten chapters)from both the tense and aspect.Chapter 3:The Chinese translation of the verbs in other tense-aspect categories.This chapter describes the verbs in Lalitavistalah.(the first ten chapters)from the perspective of participles and infinitives.Chapter 4:The Chinese translation of the verbs(?)and(?)in Lalitavistalah(the first ten chapters).This chapter describes the characteristics of the two verbs in acting as a be verb and expressing the meaning of existence.The conclusion part summarizes the Chinese translation methods and translation rules of the verbs in Lalitavistalah(the first ten chapters),explains the shortcomings in this paper and the aspects which are worth further exploring. |
