In recent years, the global obesity problem has attracted much attention and urgent measures are needed. The obesity problem is closely related to diet. Therefore, the choice of food and energy is very important.Previous studies have paid more attention to the impact of life pressure, economic strength and other aspects on individual food decision-making,but the research on how the individual’s subjective socio-economic status,a psychological factor, affects the individual’s food energy choice needs to be in-depth.In addition, previous studies have shown that self-control has a certain influence on individual decision-making.Therefore,this study attempts to investigate the influence of subjective socioeconomic status on individual food and energy choices, and further explore the moderating role of self-control in it.Research 1 adopts questionnaire survey methods to explore the impact of subjective socioeconomic status on individual food energy, and explore the moderating effects of trait self-control and state self-control in the influence of subjective socioeconomic status on individual food energy choices;further application of research 2 The experimental method manipulates state self-control,and explores its regulatory role in the influence of subjective socioeconomic status on individual food energy choices. The results of the study found:(1)Subjective socioeconomic status has a negative impact on the individual’s food energy choices.Individuals with low subjective socioeconomic status tend to choose more food energy, while individuals with high subjective socioeconomic status tend to choose less;(2)State self-control plays a regulatory role in the influence of subjective socioeconomic status on food energy choices, and promotes individuals with low subjective socioeconomic status to make fewer food energy choices, and trait self-control cannot regulate. The research results show that: subjective socioeconomic status negatively affects the individual’s food and energy choices, and state self-control plays a regulatory role in it.By improving the self-control of the individual’s state, the excessive pursuit of food energy by individuals with low subjective economic status can be reduced.Future research can further explore why state self-control can regulate the influence of subjective socioeconomic status on individual food and energy choices;we will also continue to pay attention to the impact of subjective socioeconomic status on the individual’s possible existence, and find better measures to solve the obesity problem we are facing.
