| The human relationship novels take the life of ordinary people as the writing object,and the medical activities closely related to life,age,illness and death naturally become an important link in the creation of writers.The social atmosphere of the exchange of literature and medicine in ancient China has created a suitable cultural atmosphere for the medical literacy of the novels.Therefore,often occurs in the process of the traditional novel narrative involved medical description,it not only has authenticity and scientific,reflecting the level of medical development and the real condition of medical treatment activity,and it also carries a certain expression of the task,or promote the development of the plot,shape or character,or implied metaphor,has surmounted disease and the practical significance of the deep implication of medicine.This paper takes the medical-related descriptions in twenty-six novels of the early and middle Qing Dynasty as the research object,and divides into four chapters to analyze the type characteristics and practical implications of medical-related descriptions,and to explain the literati interest and spiritual value reflected by medical-related descriptions.The first chapter studies the origin and development of medical description.Taoism,nature,yin-yang,five elements and Qi monism are the philosophical basis of ancient medical development,and have a profound impact on medical description through the whole process of novel development.The medical description of novels in different times also has their own characteristics of the times.The second chapter analyzes the literary function of medical description in the human relationship novels.Medical description not only has the Narrative Significance of connecting the story plot,changing characters,scenes and expanding the narrative space,but also can help shape the character images of doctors and patients and reflect the widespread dissemination of medical knowledge among the people.The third chapter excavates the literary theme and spiritual core of medical description,summarizes the types of diseases in worldly love novels,analyzes its lyric value as a literary theme,and explores the influence of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism on the formation of the spiritual core of medical description.The fourth chapter makes an in-depth study on the academic background and social and cultural connotation of medical description,pays attention to the world customs,social culture and life consciousness related to medicine in the first and middle of the Qing Dynasty,and shows the social vertical cultural tension and the spark of the collision between the roles of writers and physicians.From the perspective of literature,this paper examines the descriptions of medical care in the pre-Qing Dynasty novels,showing the original life of different classes,in order to get a glimpse of the collision of values and social contradictions in the medical activities of people in the late feudal society. |
