On The Human Relationships In Bi Feiyu’s Novels

The young author Bi Feiyu, who was born in1950s, has been writing for twenty years and brought readers numerous excellent works. During the twenty years of writing, Bi Feiyu keeps pursuing self-breakthrough and innovation, aiming to present his novel with a changing principle, which shifts from history-oriented to philosophy-oriented, then to secularity-oriented. In the changing process, Bi Feiyu sticks to a close attention on human relationship from the beginning to end. Therefore, there is always an unchanging keynote in his novels through the changing process. This thesis attempts to analyze Bi’s novels from the perspective of human relationship, thus to makes a thorough study on his writing characteristics.The thesis can be divided into four parts:the preface, which makes a brief introduction to the research status of Bi Feiyu’s works, and the significance and writing thought of the thesis. Chapter one analyzes the descriptions of human relationship in Bi’s novels, discusses the characteristics and text function of the descriptions, meanwhile, it analyzes the close relationship between human relationship and history, philosophy and secularity, through analyzing Bi’s novels in each period. Chapter two, mainly focuses on small potatoes’image and the sense of tragedy, aiming to seek for the aesthetic characteristics of the secular characters in Bi’s novels. Chapter three makes an analysis on the reasons for Bi’s preference in describing human relationship. The final part is the conclusion of the whole thesis.
