This thesis is a practice report of mock C-E simultaneous interpretation.The source material is Live Broadcast of Yellow River,Approaching Dongping Lake.The source language materials for this interpretation mainly introduces the role of Dongping Lake,aquatic products and the profound cultural heritage contained in the lake.The current tourism industry is developing rapidly,and it is of great significance to interpret traveling promotion materials well.The mock video mainly introduces the role of Dongping Lake,aquatic products and the profound culture contained in the lake.After interpreting,through transcribing the analog video and correcting the interpretation,the author found that there were problems in the interpretation process,such as lack of background knowledge,slow response to dialectal language and serious fragmentation of target language.The author analyzes the above problems and proposes corresponding solutions.The report starts with the analysis of the background and topic of the mock practice of interpreting,as well as the speech style of the speakers.Then,the author reviews the preparation,on-site performance and post-interpretation reflection of this task.Through transcribing and interpreting correction,the author summarizes the problems such as lack of background knowledge,the slow reflection of dialect and disfluency.The author analyzes the above problems and summarizes misinterpretation,loss of information and disfluency in the interpretation.Through case analysis,the author points out the causes of those problems,discusses the feasibility of using interpretative theory to guide simultaneous interpretation,and combines the principles of “information restructuring” and syntactic linearity followed by simultaneous interpretation to make specific analysis on examples in detail.The author proposes strategies such as extensive preparation,speculation,simplification and prediction.Finally,the author makes a summary and points put limitations of this report for further thinking and improvement. |
