| The GPA(The Growing Participator Approach)method is a new second language teaching method created by Canadian linguist Greg Thomson.Different from other traditional language teaching modes,this teaching method has unique teaching ideas and teaching methods: It regards the process of language learning as a process of participating in growing,and language learners are“growth participants”who are constantly involved in local social life,and teachers are“cultivators”in the process of second language learning.in the teaching process,the teaching method takes the process of children acquisition of their mother tongue as the main model.Adopt intuitive teaching methods(pictures,objects,toys,games,etc).emphasizing the use of the language of purpose to teach the language of purpose,and cultivate language learners listening,speaking and understanding ability;At the same time,the teaching method holds that learning a language is not only about learning the language itself,but also about learning the social and cultural customs of the associations to which the language belongs,emphasizing that language learners should constantly participate in and integrate into the language community of the purpose language,and construct a unified learning process between language and culture.GPA teaching method is divided into six stages.Due to various conditions,this paper only applies the first and second stages of GPA teaching method to the classroom practice of Chinese teaching for foreign students,This paper focuses on the practical research of the first and second stages,discusses the learning effect of applying the GPA theory to the foreign students Chinese learning process,and considers the role of the other stages in teaching to prove the feasibility of this teaching method in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.This paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,mainly expounding the background,significance,content and method of this research.The second chapter is a research review,which mainly summarizes the formation process of GPA theory and the research status of the teaching method in China.The third chapter is about the GPA teaching method,mainly introduces the definition,concept,characteristics and six learning in the teaching case analysis,mainly through the analysis of the questionnaire survey and the early stage of the concept and idea,teaching means,teaching content and the combination of collocation,design theories about GPA in the teaching of foreign students Chinese language lesson plans,and Chinese learning.The fifth chapter is the evaluation and analysis of GPA teaching method in Chinese learning for foreign students.It mainly elaborates the advantages and disadvantages of GPA theory in the process of Chinese learning for foreign students,and puts forward specific improvement plans.The sixth chapter is the conclusion,which summarizes the overall evaluation of the application of GPA theory in Chinese teaching for foreign students.In short,this paper expects to make some contributions to the exploration of teaching Chinese as a foreign language through the practical research and analysis of GPA theory. |
