| The abundant existence and wide range application of quantifiers is one of the important characteristics of modern Chinese, and one of the difficulties for foreign students to learn Chinese as well. As for current teaching status of quantifiers in TCSL, overseas students have difficulties in mastering quantifiers. On the one hand,overseas students frequently feel puzzled on how to get started while facing such great quantity of quantifiers with flexible usages. On the one hand, commonly, most teaching materials for quantifiers lay particular stress on grammar analysis and pragmatic rules which makes teachers can hardly explain the specific semantics of quantifiers during teaching process. Thus it has caused big problems for overseas students to understand, memorize and apply Chinese quantifiers. This phenomenon is particularly prominent at primary stage for overseas students to learn Chinese.Specific to the aforementioned phenomenon, starting from the inherent image coloring of Chinese quantifiers, the paper analyzed semantic and pragmatic rules of quantifiers based on the inherent image coloring, drew forth corresponding nouns, and explain the usage of quantifiers more intuitively to enable overseas students to memorize on premise of understanding, draw inferences about other cases from one instance and utilize quantifiers reasonably.It designed quantifiers application status questionnaire through statistics of Chinese quantifiers occurred in primary stage in two versions of foreign students-oriented Chinese textbooks, Hanyu Jiaocheng and Boya Chinese combining with quantifiers in common use at daily life and teaching process. It set Central Asian students in Xinjiang University and Xinjiang Normal University as the research subjects It proposed suggestions on quantifiers teaching at primary phase of TCSL based on the analysis of the data of quantifiers image coloring questionnaire. |
