| In today’s society,people pay more attention to their body mass index,body fat rate,waist-hip ratio and so on,and pursue a healthy figure.Therefore,the physical and mental health of the "little fat people" on campus has become a topic worthy of attention.The purpose of this study was to explore the influence of overweight/obesity on adolescent depression,and to further analyze the mediating and moderating effects of perceived stress and social support in the mid-term examination.,to clarify its mechanism of action,to provide basis for future research and to provide professional suggestions for the education of adolescent mental health.Therefore,this study selected students from six middle schools in S and W to conduct the research through questionnaire.The Chinese version of the Perceived Stress Scale,the Adolescent Social Support Scale,and the Calling Self-Rating Depression Scale were used.Overweight/obesity was measured using subjects’ self-reported height,weight,and self-rated weight.SPSS22.0 software was used for data analysis,and the results were as follows:(1)The objective overweight/obesity rate of adolescents,namely,the overweight/obesity rate evaluated by BMI was 21.22%,among which the overweight/obesity rate of males and females was13.83% and 7.39%,respectively.There were significant differences in gender,father’s education level and family economic status between the normal BMI group and the overweight/obese group.(2)The subjective overweight/obesity rate of adolescents,namely 48.89% of the adolescents who self-rated their weight as overweight/obesity,among which the self-rated overweight/obesity rate of males and females were 19.87% and 29.02%,respectively.There were significant differences in gender,grade,one-child,family location and economic status between the overweight/obese group and the normal weight group.(3)49.29% of adolescents must have depressive symptoms,and there are significant differences in depression levels in gender,grade and family economic status: girls are significantly higher than boys,high school students are significantly higher than junior middle school students,and poor family economic status is significantly higher than good.(4)The perceived stress of adolescents is generally at a medium level,and the sense of tension is higher than the sense of loss of control.Adolescent’s perceived pressure has significant differences in gender,grade,mother’s education level and family economic status: female students are significantly higher than male students,senior high school students are significantly higher than junior high school students,mother’s education level in primary school or below is significantly higher than junior high school students,and family economic status is relatively poor is significantly higher than good.(5)The overall social support of adolescents is above the average level,in which the subjective level of support is lower than the objective level,and the utilization of social support needs to be improved.The social support level of adolescents is significantly different in the mother’s education level and family economic status: the mother’s education level in junior middle school is significantly higher than that in primary school or below,and the family economic status is very good is significantly higher than that in poor.(6)Adolescent overweight/obesity,perceived stress,social support and depression were significantly correlated in pairs.Overweight/obesity was positively correlated with perceived stress and depression,and negatively correlated with social support,respectively.Perceived stress has a significant negative correlation with social support and a significant positive correlation with depression.There was a significant negative correlation between social support and depression.(7)Adolescent perceived stress played a fully mediating role in the process of overweight/obesity and depression,and social support played a moderating role in the second half of the mediating role. |
