To explore the relationship between defender behavior tendency and depression in school bullying,the mediating role of guilt and the moderating role of perceived social support.To provide theoretical basis for the study and improve of psychological health of bystander group in school bullying.This study used the questionnaires method,using the Self-Rating Depression Scale,Defender Scale,Guilt Questionnaire and Perceived Social Support Scale to distribute to 2 middle schools in two provinces,and retrieved 793 valid data.SPSS25.0 was used to input the data and carry out correlation analysis,one-way ANOVA and so on.SPSS macro program PROCESS was used to test the mediating and the moderating effect,and simple slope analysis was used to explore the relationship between the moderating effect on the behavior of defender in school bulling,adolescent depression,guilt and perceived social support.The results show that:(1)Different gender,different grades had a significant difference in adolescents depression score.Girls’ depression was higher than boys;High grade students had more depression than low grade students.(2)There were significant positively correlations among the behavior of defender in school bulling,guilt,perceived social support and depression.There was significant negatively correlations among depression and perceived social support.(3)The behavior of defender in school bulling had a positive effect on depression.The guilt mediated the defender behavior and depression of adolescents.(4)Perceived social support partially moderated the defender behavior and depression of adolescents.(5)Perceived social support also moderated the second half of the path of the mediating effect “the behavior of defender → guilt → depression”.
