"There Is A Little Nine Sister In My Family"-A Study On The Application Of Yue Opera Elements In The Creation Of Children’s Picture Books

This graduation project is based on children’s picture book as the carrier,and combined with the elements of Yue opera.The story is about the interesting things in the performance of Yue Opera in rural areas of Shengzhou.Taking two young protagonists exploring the new things inside and outside the stage as the index,the story connects the classic Yue Opera excerpt "my family has a little nine younger sister" and unfolds the plot of picture book.Yueju Opera,originated in Shengzhou,Zhejiang Province,is a national intangible cultural heritage.However,in the new era of rapid development,the traditional Yue Opera is weak,so it is urgent to promote Yue Opera and explore new media.As a unique carrier of communication,picture book is a comprehensive art of telling stories through the interweaving and interaction of pictures and words at two different levels,which has a strong power of cultural diffusion.Through children’s picture books,this creation enables readers to understand Yue opera culture,and provides a new channel for the inheritance and development of Yue opera culture in Shengzhou.There is a little nine sister in my family.The report is divided into four parts.The first part shows the script writing,character sketch,storyboard,manuscript attempt and other details.The second part is the creation demand report,which demonstrates the reason and value significance of this topic from three dimensions: Shengzhou Yue opera research,Yue opera theme children picture book market research and audience group research.The third part is the theoretical research report,which starts from the story framework of children’s picture books and the artistic expression of children’s picture books.Combined with a large number of theoretical literature,excellent children’s picture books at home and abroad,and illustration works,the paper makes case analysis to lay a theoretical foundation for the integration of Yue Opera elements into picture books.The fourth part is the creation process report,which describes in detail the creation problems and the process of solving the problems by integrating the elements of aria,costumes,musical instruments and so on into children’s picture books,as well as the summary and analysis of this creation.The main purpose of this creation is to explore the integration of Yue Opera elements into children’s picture books,carry forward the artistic charm of traditional Yue opera culture,highlight the new way of cultural inheritance of Yue opera,and expand the influence of Yue opera culture among young groups,so as to promote the development of domestic original drama theme picture books.
