spirited and enterprising, and played a practical role in encouraging The Mass to participate in the Anti Japanese war.Chapter Three elaborates the relationship between "The Mass" and the Anti-Japanese Literature and Art Movement.Among the articles on literary and artistic controversy published in "The Mass",the criticism of the "Zhan Guo Ce School" and the discussion of "nationalization" are the most concentrated.By publishing these articles,"The Mass" actively guided the development direction of the anti-Japanese literary movement, struggled with erroneous statements, and made it develop in a positive and healthy manner. Not only that, after Mao Zedong’s "Speech" was published,"The Mass" specially created a "Special Issue on Literary and Art Issues" to conduct intense discussions on current literary and art issues and convey the "Spirit of Speech." In addition,"The Mass" also published some excellent literary and artistic works in the liberated areas, enabling them to be widely disseminated in the Kuomintang Controlled Areas. The investigation of these issues will help us to better study the anti-Japanese literary and artistic movements at that time, deepen our understanding of the anti-Japanese literary and artistic movements, and also help clarify the way in which "The Mass" participated in the anti-Japanese literary and artistic movements.
