| Laos is China’s "friendly neighbor linked by mountains and rivers".As China’s political and economic status is increasing in the world,more and more Laotians begin to learn Chinese,especially in the capital Vientiane where has the largest number of Chinese cram schools and Chinese learners.Vientiane is the center of politics,economy and cultural exchanges in Laos,and has certain basics in Chinese teaching.Therefore,it is reasonable and representative to investigate and analyze the current learning situation of Chinese cram school students in Vientiane,LaosIn order to understand and master the current situation of Chinese cram schools in Vientiane,Laos,this paper uses the methods of interview and questionnaire to investigate the current situation of Chinese education in 12 Chinese cram schools in Vientiane and analyzes the causes of the problems in the Chinese cram schools in Vientiane from the perspectives of teachers’ qualification,teaching materials and curriculum setting,and puts forward corresponding solutions.It is found that the teaching scale of Chinese cram schools in Vientiane,Laos is expanding,and the number of Chinese learners is increasing.According to the survey data,the tuition of Chinese cram school in Vientiane,Laos is also relatively cheap,the study duration of courses is reasonable,and the study plan is clear and organized.Although the modern Chinese teaching is emphasized,it still belongs to interest learning to a large extent.The study of cram school is aimed at examination and "subject" learning has not formed.The development of Chinese teaching in Laos is still in the primary stage.There are some research findings of case study.First,in general,teachers in Chinese tuition classes have qualified professional knowledge.There are some problems in Chinese cram schools,for example,teaching staff is insufficient;the textbooks are relatively unitary,most of which relate to the HSK.Second,according to the survey,it can be found that the overall evaluation of the tutorial class given by teachers and students is good,and the relationship between teachers and students is harmonious.Third,the purpose of most students learning Chinese is to meet market demand and obtain employment opportunities.There are also some students studying Chinese,aiming to achieve their personal value and contribute to the foreign exchanges of our country.In response to the problems existing in the current Lao Chinese cram schools,this paper puts forward the following suggestions: first,the number of teachers should be increased,and teachers should give higher the learning requirements for students.Besides,teachers should also provide students with colored teaching materials and use multimedia to give classes,to carry out lively and interesting Chinese teaching.In short,teachers should continuously enhance their teaching ability,care about students’ learning and mental health,and engage in more class interaction with students.The biggest innovation of this article is that it uses the large-scale empirical investigation method for the first time to conduct a comprehensive and systematic investigation of the current situation of cram school education in Vientiane,Laos.This research makes up for the deficiencies of relevant research at home and abroad and helps us to have a more comprehensive understanding of the development of Chinese education in Vientiane,Laos. |
