A Translation Report On The Construction And System Development Of Modular Design Platform Of Injection Mold Product(Chapter 1-3)

Injection molds are the important process devices in the production of industrial products.In order to stimulate the rapid development of the mold industry,China’s research and development on injection molds has become a trend.Certainly,the rapid development of science and technology is inseparable from the exchanges and cooperation with other countries in the world.Therefore,the translation of research achievements obtained at the current stage of injection molds is becoming more and more important.The translator selects Chapter one to Chapter three of The Construction and System Development of Modular Design Platform of Injection Mold Product as the source text,explains the Chinese-English translation process of the technical text of the injection mold industry under the guidance of Skopos theory,and explores the translation methods of this type of text.Through the translation practice,the translator finds that the translation methods used in this project are equally applicable to the translation of other similar scientific texts.In the translation practice,the translator analyzes the language characteristics of the translation project in order to accurately grasp and convey the original information and achieve the purpose of translation.Then,in order to properly handle terminology issues,the translator has established a glossary of terms.Next,the translator introduces the translation process and the difficulties in the translation project,and points out the corresponding solutions.After that,the translator analyzes the translation cases under the guidance of Skopos theory,and adopts different translation methods according to different sentence characteristics,such as amplification,omission,inversion,conversion,combination,and transfer of voice.Finally,the translator summarizes the findings and limitations in the translation project,which provides valuable translation experience for the translator to translate similar scientific texts in the future.This translation practice report is mainly divided into four parts.The first chapter is the introduction and significance of the translation report.The second chapter is the translation process,including text analysis,introduction of Skopos theory,translation difficulties and translation course.The third chapter is the case analysis of translation under the guidance of Skopos theory.The fourth chapter is a summary of the entire translation project in order to achieve greater progress.
