The Research On Ma Xulun’s Study Of Zhuangzi

Ma Xulun’s research results on Zhuangzi are mainly reflected in Zhuangzi’s Righteousness Certificate,Notes on Zhuangzi’s Outer Articles and Shuyi of Zhuangzi’s World Articles.In the aspect of exegesis,Ma Xulun inherited the method of Ganjia School and expanded it;In the aspect of righteousness,it combines Buddhism and Western learning to understand Zhuangzi.It can be said that Ma Xulun’s study of Zhuangzi occupies a place in the study of Zhuangzi in the Republic of China,which is of great research value.This article analyzes Ma Xulun’s study of Zhuangzi from the four levels of exegesis,righteousness,textual research,and literature,explores the achievements and shortcomings,and further excavates the significance and value of Ma Xulun’s study of Zhuangzi in the Republic of China and the whole history of Zhuangzi research.In the introduction part,the research status of this topic is summarized,and the reasons and research methods of this topic are explained.The first chapter,taking Ma Xulun’s life experience as the main line,focuses on the research process of Ma Xulun’s Zhuangzi.the "pen and ink case-solving" with Fu Sinian is a turning point in Ma Xulun’s study of Zhuangzi.Therefore,the analysis of this "pen and ink case-solving" is the focus of this chapter.The second chapter studies the contents and methods of exegesis of Zhuang Zi in Zhuangzi Yizheng.Among them,due to the "pen and ink case-solving" in Ma Xulun and Fu Sinian,"Zhuangzi’s Notes" published in 1918 rarely circulated.Therefore,the characteristics and innovations of this chapter are to make a comparative study of Zhuangzi’s Notes and Zhuangzi’s Righteousness Certificate,clarify the relationship between the two books,and summarize the changes in Ma Xulun’s research on Zhuangzi in the early and late periods.The third chapter,this chapter mainly analyzes the characteristics and reasons of Ma Xulun’s "interpreting Zhuang with Buddhism" and "western learning".Finally,the textual research on the completion of Shuyi in Tianxia Pian reveals the achievements and shortcomings of Ma Xulun’s study of Zhuangzi.The fourth chapter studies the three appendices of Zhuangzi Chronology,Zhuangzi Song Ren Kao and Zhuangzi Lost Essays.Summarize the characteristics of each table,and explore the relationship between the three appendices and the study of Zhuangzi Yizheng.The fifth chapter first expounds the content of Ma Xulun’s literary interpretation of Zhuangzi;Analyze the Reasons and Knowledge Basis of Ma Xulun’s Literary Interpretation of Zhuangzi;Finally,it evaluates Ma Xulun’s interpretation of Zhuangzi from the literary level.The conclusion summarizes the characteristics of Ma Xulun’s methods of governing Zhuang Zi,and analyzes the value of Ma Xulun’s study of Zhuang Zi in the history of Zhuang Zi study.
