The Research On The New Changes Of The Interpretation Of Zhuangzi In Modern Times

Due to the characteristics of the inexhaustible meaning and the marvelous writing style of Zhuangzi,the interpreters of Zhuangzi in the past dynasties have completed a new interpretation in different historical contexts.Especially,in the modern times,which is full of crisis and change,the interpretation of Zhuangzi presents a pluralistic pattern of inheriting tradition and learning from western culture.These achievements of Zhuangzi prove the continuous cultural vitality of Zhuangzi as a traditional classic.Compared with the ancient researches of Zhuangzi,the cultural background of the coexistence of China and the West has made a significant academic breakthrough in the modern researches of Zhuangzi.No matter in the research paradigm or in the ideological exploration,there have been new developments,and it has provided useful experience and training for the current cultural construction.Therefore,modern researches of Zhuangzi has high cultural value and research significance.This paper mainly uses the theoretical method of hermeneutics,through the combination of macro and micro,to observe the new changes of modern researches of Zhuangzi as a whole,and from the perspective of Buddhism,Confucianism,Western learning and literature,to investigate the development and new changes of modern researches of Zhuangzi,so as to present its problem consciousness and cultural value of the times in the new era.The paper consists of five chapters:The first chapter mainly discusses the revival researches of Zhuangzi in modern times from the social and academic historical background.In modern times,the revival researches of Zhuangzi is the product of the rise of the thoughts of various schools of thought,and the rise of various schools also presents new characteristics of the times,that is,from the vassal of Confucianism to independence,which includes many factors such as the changes of social situation and academic development,and also experienced the continuous consciousness of scholars from the early Qing Dynasty to modern times to surpass Confucianism and make them independent.The internal evolution and the introduction of Western learning to the East are the important driving forces for the rise of modern schools of thought,especially the function of application and interpretation of Confucian classics.These commonalities of the development of Zhuangzi have a direct impact on the revival of modern researches of Zhuangzi,and make the modern researches of Zhuangzi present the new development of Zhuangzi's works of Proofreading and righteousness in modern times,as well as the special exploration of Zhuangzi's literature.The second chapter mainly discusses the new changes of modern researches of Zhuangzi from the perspective of "understanding Zhuangzi with Buddha".It is one of the traditional ways to explain Zhuangzi in the history of Zhuangzi studies,which is embodied in the continuous improvement and development of the method of "Geyi"."Geyi" was originally used to explain Buddhism with the concepts or thoughts in traditional books,among which Zhuangzi played an important role.In the development of history,it has gone through the process of conceptual meaning,general meaning,systematic meaning and practical meaning.In modern times,the new changes of "interpreting Zhuangzi with Buddhism" are mainly embodied in the systematic application of the conceptual system of the Buddhist doctrine and the integration of the concepts of equality,freedom and Science in Western learning.It has realized the exchange and interaction with the foreign cultures,which not only inherits the national culture,but also draws the essence of foreign cultures,thus making Zhuangzi play the social utility needed by the times.Yang Wenhui is the key scholar to revive modern Buddhism.His "understanding Zhuangzi by Buddhism"promoted the development of modern systematized "Geyi".Under his influence,Zhang Taiyan,Liang Qichao and other scholars all went to a new and practical way.It can be said that the application of Zhuangzi's thought is an important feature of modern scholars' interpretation of Zhuangzi by Buddhism.The third chapter mainly discusses the new changes of modern researches of Zhuangzi from the perspective of "understanding Zhuangzi with Confucianism".The reason why scholars adopt the interpretation path of "interpreting Zhuangzi with Confucianism" is that there is the feasibility of integrating and complementing the metaphysical "Dao" and the metaphysical social reality between Zhuangzi and Confucianism,which provides the necessary thinking foundation and exploration premise for resolving the contradiction between Zhuangzi and Confucianism and improving the social utility of researches of Zhuangzi.In modern times,scholars try to deal with all kinds of problems of social life in crisis situation through Confucianism and Taoism,so as to realize the practical value of saving the crisis.In modern times,the new changes of "interpreting Zhuangzi with Confucianism" are mainly manifested in the new exploration of Zhuangzi's thought of great harmony,the in-depth analysis of the similarities between Zhuangzi and Confucianism,especially the further exploration of the practical value in Zhuangzi,the new expansion of"internal saints and external kings" thought,and the new development of Liao Ping's traditional "interpreting Zhuangzi with Confucianism" through the reconstruction of the system of Confucian classics.It can be said that these new researches from different angles reflect the common ideal of modern scholars to save the world,and the era style of developing Zhuangzi's application thought.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the new changes of modern researches of Zhuangzi from the perspective of the integration of Chinese and western.The introduction of Western learning to the East has shaken the core position of traditional Confucianism and triggered the criticism and reflection of modern scholars on traditional culture.The comparison and integration of Chinese and Western culture by scholars not only inherits the study of Zhuangzi,but also injects new cultural factors into it,and presents the new characteristics of researches of Zhuangzi.In the comparative fusion of modern western learning and Zhuangzi,the Western evolutionism,hedonism,free thought,Marxism and so on all have an important influence on the reinterpretation of Zhuangzi's thought.The study of Zhuangzi by Yan Fu,Hu Shi and Zhang Hongzhao mainly embodies the gradual process of the integration of evolutionism and Zhuangzi's thought.In addition,Epicurus' hedonism,Spinoza's "nature" and "freedom" have also been introduced by modern scholars into the dialogue and interpretation of Zhuangzi's thoughts.The similarities and differences between Chinese and Western cultures provide useful enlightenment for the development of researches of Zhuangzi,and its pioneering taste has become an important topic for future scholars to further explore.With the introduction of Marxism and the development of the enlightenment movement,Marxism has been accepted by more and more people,and has become the most scientific and cutting-edge ideas and methods.In the academic circle of Zhuangzi,Lu Zhenyu,Hou Wailu,Guo Moruo and other scholars take Marxism as the theoretical guidance,which makes the study of Zhuangzi present a new era significance.It can be said that modern scholars have provided many new perspectives for the interpretation of Zhuangzi with different western theories.Although the historical environment is limited in the interpretation of Zhuangzi,its active exploration for the integration of Chinese and Western cultures has the effect of the times,and its accumulated experience and lessons have historical significance and reference value.The fifth chapter mainly discusses the new changes of literary research of Zhuangzi in modern times.Under the dual influence of the development of Western learning and local literature,the concept of "Literature" in modern times is clearly independent from the status of traditional literature,history and philosophy,and there are different definitions in broad and narrow sense.Although it is controversial whether Zhuangzi is a literary work or not,on the whole,the literary features of Zhuangzi have a new development in modern times,which is closely related to the transformation of modern "Literature" cognition.Therefore,this chapter discusses the transformation of modern "Literature" concept and the construction of modern"Literature" theoretical perspective,taking it as the theoretical premise of the study of modern literature of Zhuangzi.In the new changes of literature research of Zhuangzi in modern times,this paper mainly discusses the literature language,text structure,style,literary sociality and other aspects of Zhuangzi,highlighting the inheritance and development of literature of Zhuangzi in the comparison between ancient and modern times and the reference of Chinese and Western grammar.Although the discussion of modern scholars on the literature of Zhuangzi is simple and rough,their strong and clear literary consciousness and diversified thinking make the literariness of Zhuangzi get new exploration,which also has important reference value and enlightenment significance for the development of later literature of Zhuangzi.
