Practice Study Report On E-C Translation Of Riders Of The Realm(Excerpts) From The Perspective Of Reception Aesthetics

Children’s literature plays an important role in children’s education.In recent years,many foreign children’s works have been introduced into our country,so the translation of children’s literature has become an important work.In this thesis,the author will take the reception theory as the theoretical basis to summarize the translation process of chapters 1-10 in the first series of Riders of the Realm,and select representative cases from three aspects including vocabulary level,the syntactic level and the text level,so as to point out the translation strategy adopted by the author.At the vocabulary level,it analyzes some specific vocabulary cases;at the syntactic level,it analyzes the cases of complex sentences;at the rhetorical level,it analyzes the rhetorical devices of the text.Finally,I will make a brief summary of this report.This thesis aims to provide some theoretical guidance and research methods for the translation practice of children’s literature,so as to promote the translation practice of children’s literature in the industry,enrich the research content of domestic children’s literature translation,and broaden the channels for children to read foreign literature.At the same time,it also aims to improve the author’s own translation level,further verify the applicability and guiding significance of reception aesthetics theory to the translation of children’s literature,and provide case reference for the translation practice of similar texts.
