With the deepening of higher educational and cultural exchanges between various countries,China has now achieved impressive results.While developing domestic higher education,China is also actively learning pre-eminent concepts from other countries.Therefore,around the theme of higher education,different forms of academic exchanges,sharing sessions,lectures,etc.are increasing.The author is fortunate to participate in a sharing session on the topic of the difference between Chinese and American higher education,and at the same time provide consecutive interpretation services for the orator of this session.This report has five chapters,including task description,process description,the interpretative theory,case analysis,and conclusion.The task description elaborated the interpretation task from four aspects: task source,content,goal,and meaning.The second chapter details the process from three sides: pre-interpreting preparations,on-site interpreting process,and post-interpreting analysis.The content of the interpretative theory is divided into two parts: introduction and application.Chapter four explains the techniques used in the task,and then summarizes and analyzes the shortcomings in the whole mission.Chapter five is a summary of practice.After the completion of this interpreting task,the author can accumulate experience,so that the subsequent tasks can proceed more successfully.Through this report,the author has a lucid cognition and perception of interpreting,and the experience accumulated in interpreting tasks can enable the author to make progress in the future.
