With the rapid development of social economy,the competition among organizations has become increasingly fierce,and organizations are faced with increasingly complex and changeable internal and external environment.In order to cope with the current socio-economic environment and improve their competitiveness,organizations have started to introduce fierce competition mechanisms,thus breaking the traditional stable work environment and creating job insecurity.In the current environment,job insecurity has become one of the important stressors for employees and has an impact on their work attitude and behavior,which further affects their job performance.Job performance is the basis for organizational competition and development,and is always the most important aspect for organizations,so how to maintain and improve job performance in the current social environment is an urgent issue for companies to address.This study reviews the literature related to job insecurity and job performance,constructs a theoretical structural model of job insecurity and job performance based on resource conservation theory,and attempts to further reveal the mechanism of job insecurity on job performance by introducing job engagement and perceived organizational support.Through the use of "job insecurity " self-rated job(Revisedscale ",performance scale","uwes-9" Version)and "perceived organizational support scale",822 employees were investigated,and700 valid questionnaires were collected.SPSS24.0 was used to process and analyze the data of the received questionnaires.The results of the study showed that there was a significant negative relationship between job insecurity and job performance,a significant negative relationship between job insecurity and job engagement,and a significant positive relationship between job engagement and job performance;job engagement played a significant role in the job insecurity and job performance;perceived organizational support plays a negative moderating role between job engagement and job performance.This study investigates the impact of job insecurity on job performance and the mechanism of the relationship between job insecurity and job performance,and further enriches the theoretical study of job insecurity and job performance by introducing job engagement and perceived organizational support;it helps managers to further understand the impact of job insecurity,so that they can formulate appropriate policies to reduce employees’ job insecurity and improve employees’ job performance. |
