With the gradual advancement of the new round of basic education curriculum reform,the accelerated establishment of an evaluation system that promotes student development and teacher improvement has received increasing attention from the academic community.Based on the analysis of relevant studies,this study attempts to apply the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to the evaluation of primary school English classroom teaching,and focuses on the construction path and implementation effect of the evaluation index system for primary school English classroom teaching,so as to give full play to the development and promotion function of teaching evaluation.The specific content includes the following aspects:First,the theoretical basis for the construction of the evaluation index system for primary school English classroom teaching.It includes the introduction of fuzzy mathematics theory,constructivism theory and effective teaching theory,which could provide the corresponding theoretical basis for the construction and implementation of English classroom teaching evaluation index system in primary schools.Second,the construction of the evaluation index system of primary school English classroom teaching relies on the compulsory education English curriculum standards.The English curriculum standard is the vane of English classroom teaching evaluation,and it is also a guideline for teaching evaluation.And it needs to follow the principles of scientificity,rationality,systematicness,hierarchy and operability in the construction process.Third,the concrete implementation of the evaluation index system of primary school English teaching.This part involves the preliminary formulation,modification and improvement of primary school English classroom teaching evaluation indicators and the determination of indicator weights,finally,a primary school English classroom teaching evaluation index system composed of 6 primary indexes and 21 secondary indexes is constructed.And meanwhile,this study selects the analytic hierarchy process(AHP),which combines qualitative and quantitative methods,to determine the weight of the evaluation index of English classroom teaching in primary schools.After obtaining the weight of each evaluation index,a consistency test is carried out,which shows that the determined weight has satisfactory consistency.Fourth,the practical application of the evaluation system of primary school English classroom teaching.On the basis of the above research,this part will actually apply the constructed indicator system to the real classroom teaching evaluation situation.This research uses the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to make a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation of the classroom teaching of an English teacher in S primary school.The results show that the teacher’s English classroom teaching quality is good,but there is room for further improvement.
