The documentary Black and White starts from the Go culture in Daqing,an industrial city in northeast China,and leads the audience to have a comprehensive understanding of the Go culture in the northeastern city through the interview of the principal of the Go school,Zhao Guofeng.To understand the process of the northeast city change,study the status quo and problems of Daqing Go.This paper will elaborate the creation of the documentary Black and White from the aspects of the research background,the narrative research of Go documentary and the creation process of the work.The film uses a large number of interviews,as well as real shots such as the teaching of Go and the shooting at the scene of the competition to record and shoot,so as to ensure the characteristics of the documentary.Authenity means non-fiction.The whole film is divided into three parts for creation.The shooting content is complicated,and the production process is difficult due to the influence of the epidemic.Through this shooting,the author jumped out of the identity of Go amateur and had a more profound understanding and ideas about Go culture and this northeast industrial city.
