| After seizing the throne,Chengzu took Beiping, the place of "Longxing",as Beijing. After more than ten years of preparation,in the 15 th year of Yongle,he imitated the pattern of Nanjing Forbidden City and built Beijing Forbidden City.Three years later,it was completed. As the capital,Beijing was also built. From then on,it became the palace and imperial city of Ming and Qing Dynasties. After the completion of the Forbidden City,it has been burned and rebuilt three times. The first time took place in the 19 th year of Yongle shortly after its completion. All the three main halls of the former dynasty were destroyed. The reconstruction began in the fifth year of Zhengtong and was completed the next year. The second one happened in the36 th year of Jiajing, which was more serious than the first one.The former three halls,Fengtian gate and Meridian Gate were destroyed, and the reconstruction was completed in the 40 th year of Jiajing. The third time took place in the 24 th and 25 th year of Wanli.First, the two palaces of Qianqing and Kunning were burned, and then the three main palaces of the previous dynasty were destroyed. It was not until the seventh year of Tianqi that the reconstruction was completed. At this time,it was only17 years before the end of Ming Dynasty. The four construction of the Forbidden City not only cost a lot of human and material resources, but also caused great spiritual pressure on the rulers of Ming Dynasty. At the same time,it provided the relevant officials and even the royal family with the opportunity to search for wealth.Taking time as the clue, focusing on the four constructions and three destruction of the three main halls, this paper studies the damage, reconstruction, reconstruction and expansion of the Forbidden City buildings, focusing on the damage process and reconstruction cost of the Forbidden City buildings, and probes into its influence from the political, economic and social perspectives,as well as the relationship with the historical development of the Ming Dynasty. |
