The Fengxian Hall of the Forbidden City is the home temple of the Qing imperial family to worship their ancestors. In the Qing dynasty,it was the most important and highest-ranking place for worship in the inner temple. The ancient building of Fengxian Hall and the royal ancestor worship culture represented by it were an important part of the palace cultural value in the Qing Dynasty. The Palace Museum intends to restore its apse to its original state and display it as an excellent case for the rational use of cultural heritage protection.Due to a variety of reasons, there are still many deficiencies in the current research on Fengxian Hall of the Forbidden City, especially the research on the architectural form and furnishing layout of Fengxian Hall.On the basis of systematically combing the historical evolution of Fengxian Hall,on the one hand, combined with field survey and surveying and mapping, the features of Fengxian Hall's architectural form, large wooden structure, colorful paintings, stone work and other aspects are explained and analyzed, and different periods are selected,Comparing buildings of the same level, and inferring that the existing Fengxian Hall in the Forbidden City is a relic of the 14th year of Shunzhi based on the route of sacrifices in the Qing Dynasty and the historical facts of the Qing Palace; On the other hand,a restoration study on the sacrificial furnishings of the apse of Fengxian Hall was carried out,and it was clarified that the sacrificial layout of the ancestral hall of the empress Xiaodingjing(???)in the second year of the Republic of China was the original state before the apse was removed. Finally, the history of the renovation of the Fengxian Hall exhibition hall is the epitome of the development of the Palace Museum's exhibitions. The reasonable and appropriate use of cultural relics is also a road to cultural relics protection and utilization in line with national conditions.
