Research On The Use Of Media Language In Elementary Level Of Chinese Teaching In Kenya Chinese Institute

With the heat of Learning Chinese has swept across the world,more and more people are enchanted by the age-old Chinese culture and interested in learning Chinese.Each year large numbers of Chinese teachers are going to all over the world to teach Chinese and expand Chinese culture.We find that lots of Chinese teachers who go abroad don’t have mastery of the native language.In order to operate the normal teaching smoothly,media language is used to assist in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.There is always a wide debate in the use of media language.Meanwhile,there is no consensus among the experts on the frequency and timing of the use of media language.Taking questionnaire,classroom observation and case analysis as the method,this paper investigates the use of media language in Kenya Chinese Institute,in which,the students and teachers in Kenya Chinese Institute were taken as objects.There are five parts in this paper except introduction and ending words.The first chapter introduce the brief information of Kenya Chinese Institute,which include general situation of school,teacher and student.Then this part deal with survey design about media language.The second chapter is about analysis.According to analyze questionnaire,we can know teachers’ attitude and students’ expectation towards the using of media language.The third part is about case analysis.After divided teaching activities into three parts: new words teaching,text and grammar teaching,exercises,author selects teaching cases to analyse usage of media language in different teaching parts.After the previous two chapters’ research analysis,the forth chapter shows reasons and disadvantages about the using of media language.Meanwhile,the forth part puts forward the suggestion about the usage of media language.
