Cultural factor teaching is absolutely necessary in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,and it possesses an important position and roles,particularly in the teaching of reading.In this paper,the two textbooks,Developing Chinese.Intermediate Reading and Intermediate Chinese Reading Course are taken as the research objects,and combined with the previous classification of cultural factors,the classification criteria of cultural factors are established.From the point of view of the number and frequency of cultural factors in textbooks,the proportion of various cultural factors and the way in which cultural factors are integrated,this author makes data statistics and comparative analysis of the two textbooks to discuss the compilation of cultural factors in the intermediate reading course of Chinese as a foreign language,and puts forward some suggestions for the compilation of the textbook from three aspects: the integration,selection and compilation of cultural factors.The paper consists of four parts.The first part is the introduction,which systematically elucidates the reasons of the topic,research objects,research method and summary.The second part sets and explains the criteria for classifying cultural factors that are appropriate for this paper based on existing classifications.The third part,as the main body,which describes the statistic techniques,then makes a comprehensive statistical and comparative analysis on the knowledge and culture factors,communication and cultural factors of the two textbooks according to the classification criteria of cultural factors.The fourth part,the author puts forward some suggestions on the cultural factors in intermediate reading materials for teaching Chinese as a foreign language based on the analysis results.Finally,this paper summarizes the work and disadvantages,and expresses prospects for the in-depth study of related topics in the future. |
