| This paper first briefly introduces the origin and the main purpose of Plato’s unwritten doctrine. Then, taking the Republic as the object, this paper studies the“Justice” and “Goodness” in Plato’s philosophy by using the research methods of unwritten doctrine. On the premise of comprehensive consideration of the internal and external aspects of dialogues,I try to get a full discussion about “Agathon”,and finally determines the position and value of “Goodness” in Plato’s philosophy. In my opinion,“Goodness” has the attribute of teleology and ontology in Plato’s philosophy, which makes it very difficult for us to see the true face of “Goodness”.Only through“Eidos”,can we understand the true face of “Goodness”: “Goodness” is “one”,which represents absolute stipulation and is the highest principle of Plato’s philosophy. After the first chapter indirectly proves the connection between Plato’s unwritten theory and Plato’s dialogues, the second chapter studies the special status of the concept of "justice" in the Republic from the unsolved problem of justice in the first volume of the Republic, and extends texts from the problem of justice to the problem of "Goodness".Through the analysis of Plato’s "rising road" in volumes 4 to 7 of the Republic, this paper determines the existence of the concept of "Goodness" in Plato’s philosophy, which is higher than the concept of "Eidos".Finally, combined with Plato’s unwritten doctrine,it gives the original status of "Goodness" in Plato’s philosophy: "Goodness" is the highest origin of Plato’s philosophy. The third chapter mainly deals with the value of justice and good, and proves that the value of justice comes from good, and the value of good comes from its original status. |
