The topic of justice as the eternal subject of human being is also the inevitable problem of ethnics. The justice is as important as the most fundamental element to maintain normal operation and steady development of human society. Plato is the first ideologist who firstly demonstrated the justice systematically in western society; "Republic" can most reflect his idea of justice; therefore, the study on the justice can not bypass Plato and shall begin from studying the justice idea of "Republic'"Republic", as called "Politeia", has a subhead of "Theory of Justice"; "Politeia' demonstrates the justice wholly:the Plato's deep thinking on city-state Athens as a great philosopher and his responsibility for concerning the country as the thinker are embodied from criticism on several popular justice ideas to the definition of justice, from national justice to individual justice, and from the way to realize the justice to the benefit of justice realization.Born in a noble family, Plato was influenced by politics at an early age. After experiencing the brutal Peloponnesian War and the death of Socrates, he began to deeply think city-state Athens. "Republic" is the solution put forward by Plato when he had an Athenian political problem. Although Plato's justice idea has a lot of disadvantages from modern view and further he didn't realize the establishment of the ideal country at that time, his justice idea is far-reaching on ethnics and political philosophy.Firstly, this paper analyzes the times background and family background for generating Plato's justice idea and the influence of Socrates execution on Plato: secondly, on the basis, the paper analyzes the source of justice and the justice theory of pre-Plato times to try to prove up the external reason for forming Plato's justice idea: then, the paper returns to the original version of "Republic" to deeply analyze the meaning of justice, the way to realize the justice and the disadvantages of the justice idea. The justice idea in "Republic" inspires us to put justice as the first value of political activities in the process of constructing the harmonious society, pay attention to combination of law and moral administration and focus on education.
