| “interrogative pronoun+V+bu shi+V”construction often appears in daily life,such as“怎么吃不是吃”(it doesn’t matter how to eat)“哪里看不是看”(it doesn’t matter where to see)“买什么不是买”(it doesn’t matter what to buy)“谁用不是用”(it doesn’t matter who uses it).As a special verb copy construction in Chinese,there are few studies on it by domestic and foreign scholars,most of which have a single perspective,limited research methods,and lagged behind in theoretical construction.Most scholars only describe the semantics of this construction,but do not involve the reasons and mechanism of its formation.In addition,many scholars have studied interrogative pronouns and“bu shi”,mainly focusing on lexical,textual,semantic and pragmatic features,while the non-interrogative and non-negative uses of interrogative pronouns and“bu shi”have not been studied.Therefore,this thesis combines the Conceptual Blending Theory(CBT)from the perspective of cognitive linguistics with the Construction Coercion Theory(CC)from the perspective of construction grammar to construct the CBC model to explain the generation mechanism of the construction.By using qualitative and quantitative research methods,this thesis analyzes 423 corpora in detail from three aspects of syntax,semantics and pragmatics.Through the analysis,this thesis finds that:1.In interrogative pronouns,only“谁”(who),“怎么”(how),“哪”(where)and“什么”(what)can enter the construction,interrogative pronouns do not express interrogative meaning in the construction,and most verbs can enter the construction.Although“bu shi”is negative,it does not express negative meaning in the construction.The meaning of the construction is the speaker’s indifferent,helpless,resentful,helpless and casual attitude towards an event.Most verbs can enter the construction.2.Conceptual Blending Theory and Construction Coercion can explain the formation of the construction alone to a certain extent,but there are corresponding shortcomings,so the CBC model can better explain the formation mechanism of the construction,Under the action of the CBC model,the interrogative meaning of interrogative pronouns and the negative meaning of“bu shi”in the construction are eliminated.The CBC model explains the new meanings of the construction,such as persuasive meaning,helpless meaning,comforting meaning and so on.3.The“V”in this construction has the meaning of Recategorization.The former“V”refers specifically,the latter“V”refers generally,and the semantic focus is on the latter“V”.The significance of this thesis is that the construction of the CBC model is an attempt to localize the theory of cognitive linguistics.It is not only a compensation and innovation for the Conceptual Blending Theory,but also for Construction Coercion.The establishment of the construction’s closed corpus provides certain data reference for future research.At the same time,this research also provides new ideas for the construction teaching and TCFL. |
