Grammar plays an important role in English learning and teaching.The methods of grammar teaching vary with teachers,students,teaching materials and teaching environments.The new curriculum standard suggests that English teachers should adopt task-based approach in teaching,and emphasize the importance of cultivating communicative competence.Task-based approach advocates that students learn by doing,which is to achieve the purpose of learning knowledge by completing tasks.Therefore,based on the previous research,this thesis uses the method of questionnaire and interview to investigate 290 Senior Two students and 52 English teachers in Mudanjiang No.2 Senior High School.It aims to study the following two questions:1.What is the current situation of the application of task-based approach in senior high school English grammar teaching?2.Are there any difficulties in the implementation of task-based approach in senior high school English grammar teaching? If so,what are they?Through the statistics and analysis of the questionnaires and interviews of students and teachers,it can be found that most teachers do not use task-based approach in senior high school English grammar teaching.The reasons are as follows:there are some difficulties in the implementation of task-based approach in senior high school English grammar teaching,the impact of the local environment,and some senior high school English textbooks are not suitable for the use of task-based approach,and college entrance examination positioning and education evaluation system are mostly based on scores.In addition,task-based approach itself has heavy operation tasks,and the capacity of teachers and students can not meet the requirements of task-based approach.Finally,this thesis puts forward feasible suggestions,and summarizes the shortcomings of the study.It aims that this study can provide some implications for senior high school English grammar teachers and subsequent research.
