| The formation of Buddhism logic is based on the Indian Book The Seven Treatise on Logic.which includes three Shastras on logic system and four Shastras on the logic components.Among them,The Pramanarartika plays an important role in the entire history of the development of the Buddhism logic,in particular for Tibetan Buddhism logic which has various internal and external factors,but the pith of the contribution owe to famous authorities;Kashmir Pandita and Sakya Pandita.Sakya Pandita studied The Pramanarartika under the Kashmir Pandita.Based on the translations of predecessors,this two masters complete the proofreading and definition of The Pramanarartika togrther.Moreover,Sakya Pandita sorted out and edited The Pramā?a-vini?caya,The Seven Treatise on Logic,and the first disorganized chapter of The Pramanarartika helped to brought about the dissemination of Buddhism logic from The Pramā?a-vini?caya to The Pramanarartik in Tibet.The two of masters have made great contributions to the translation,interpretation and dissemination of The Pramanarartika in Tibet.This kind of contribution and influence is also based on the mutual support and cooperation of two masters.I have collecting,sorting and analyzing a large number of documents and materials related to the Logic.In addition,I try to uses the methods and tools of Academic research.The aims of this essay is to understand the development of The Pramanarartika in Tibet and its social background,also,try to analyze the influence of The Pramanarartika and its logical speculative methods on Tibetan monastery education and even Tibetan culture.The first chapter Introduced the basic information of The Pramanarartika,there are the title,content,source of logic.social background,place,time,value and meaning of writing The Pramanarartika.This essay narrates the outline,number,order and contents of The Pramanarartika.The second chapter described the information of two masters.such as their birthplace,family,hometown,especially,his great achievements in Buddhism through Dharma,which is divided into three small parts.From the third chapter to the fifth,discusses the achievements of the two authorities,in combination with the translation of The Pramanarartika.The third chapter is about the Translation of The Pramanarartika and the accomplishment of the Two Pandita,divided into three parts: whether there was a translation of this classic in the previous period,and how it was translated in the later period,narrating the process of the earliest translation of The Pramanarartika into Tibetan;Also,narrates the process of two Pandita’s translation,definition and promotion of the Theory of Logic.In addition,I have discussing the role of The Pramanarartika in the perfection and development of the theory of Tibetan Buddhism Logic.The fourth chapter comprised three small parts: How The Pramanarartika spread to the Han and Tibet,describes the history of Sakya Pandita’s study guidance of the Shakyasri Pandita,the impact of tshad ma rig pa’i gter zhes bya ba.The fifth chapter is about the Spreading of The Pramanarartika and the Achievement of Two Pandita that splited into three small parts;composired by the new and the old Buddhism logic discussed the traditional origins of the theory,inquire into the pioneering of The Pramanarartika and training of apprentices by Sakya Pandita.Describeed why The Pramanarartikafoster fostered and enhanced at a time of various Dharma theories contradicted and more and more foreign Pandita’s arrival in Tibet,besides,the influence on political power and so on. |
