Mongolian traditional culture is rich in content and diversified in expression.From the perspective of visual design,the author carries out the development and design.With the help of current consumers’ enthusiasm for catering brands,the traditional Mongolian elements are combined with modern visual design.In the first chapter of this paper,the introduction mainly focuses on the research background,research significance,research status at home and abroad,research methods and preliminary research methods.The second chapter expounds the totem worship,religious belief,ethnic spirit and ethnic natural view of the Mongolian ethnic group,so as to deeply understand the characteristics of Mongolian traditional folk customs.The third chapter is divided into two parts to summarize the previous research results.The first part is to investigate the Mongolian food and beverage brands such as gerile amah and erdun,and record the application of their ethnic elements and design style characteristics.The second part analyzes the design style of Yunnan minority catering brand by searching the Internet and books,and expounds the advantages and disadvantages of Yunnan minority catering brand design.At the same time,collect the Tibetan and Manchu ethnic catering brands,and compare and analyze their design language.The above collection and investigation contents all provide certain support for the author’s design works.The fourth chapter is the author’s attempt and conception of graduation design,which is divided into three parts.The first part is the Mongolian elements that the author intends to extract at the beginning of the design,including morphological elements and color elements.To explore the form of ethnic elements in modern design works.The second part records the author’s attempt at the beginning of graduation design and the concept of element design,the way and meaning of typesetting all elements.The third part describes the significance and practical role of the author’s articles or works to the local related industries.
