Buddhism began to revive at the end of the Ming Dynasty.In Jiangnan,Buddhist monks represented by Master Lianchi devoted themselves to publicizing the Buddhist idea of release of life,and various release activities were prevalent.A large number of believers built release ponds and set up release societies one after another.At present,there are few academic achievements on the study of the buddhist free life society in the south of the Yangtze River in the late Ming Dynasty,and there is still a large research space.In this paper,the author will introduce the Buddhist Release Society in the south of the Yangtze River in the late Ming Dynasty,and analyze its members,activities,rules and regulations,as well as the social influence of the Buddhist Release Society in the late Ming Dynasty.This paper is mainly divided into six parts:The first part introduces the historical origin of the buddhist release society in the late Ming Dynasty,specifically introduces the historical origin of the association and release of animals,and briefly introduces the historical background of the buddhist release society in the late Ming Dynasty.The second part introduces the buddhist free life society and free life pool in south of the Yangtze River in late Ming Dynasty.The author sorted out the relevant materials,sorted out the Buddhist release society and the release pool in the south of the Yangtze River in the late Ming Dynasty,and made a basic introduction to them,and analyzed the dual relationship between the Buddhist release society and the Buddhist release pool.The third part makes a comparative study of the members of the buddhist liberating society in the south of the Yangtze River in the late Ming Dynasty.The author sorted out and recorded the members of the evil buddhist release society in detail.Through combing and comparing the life experiences of the members of the release society,the author explored the internal connections among the members of the release society.The fourth part makes a comparative study of the buddhist liberating societies in the south of the Yangtze River in the late Ming Dynasty.This paper discusses the time,place,distribution,specific release activities,duration of existence and other aspects,and analyzes the operating rules behind the buddhist release society in detail.The fifth part examines the system construction and activity mode of the buddhist free life society in the late Ming Dynasty with the core of "social agreement".This paper,centering on the "Upper Shanhui" and "Shenglian Society",makes a detailed analysis of the rules and regulations of the buddhist release society,and specifically introduces the related rules and regulations of the buddhist release society,such as the head system,the ritual system and the economic system of the buddhist release society.The sixth part explores the social influence of the buddhist release society in the late Ming.In the late Ming Dynasty,the organization and institutionalization of the Buddhist Releasing Society were further improved,attracting a large number of officials and scholars to join,expanding the scope of influence of the Buddhist Releasing Society,and further promoting the development of the cause of Buddhist revival in the late Ming Dynasty.This paper takes the Buddhism Free Life Society in the late Ming Dynasty as the main line,involving many aspects such as the society and religion of the Ming Dynasty.It is of certain significance to understand the real existence of Buddhism in the late Ming Dynasty and to sort out the development process of Buddhist associations.
