| The purpose of this paper is to explore the influence of Neo-Confucianism on the style of calligraphy in the early Ming Dynasty.Under the support of the supreme ruler of the Ming Dynasty,Cheng Zhu Neo-Confucianism used the power of political rights to obtain official recognition and to be in a unique position in the field of philosophy and thought,and at the same time formed remarkable characteristics in its own development process.Due to the imperial power’s despotism of culture,Neo-Confucianism calligraphy began to go deep into the hearts of the people,and the thought of calligraphy was also Neo-Confucianism made calligraphypay special attention to improving the spiritual character of the main body of the writer in the early Ming Dynasty,this also led to the pursuit of“corrrct” calligraphy forms,and thus calligraphy paid more attention to the compliance with laws,which eventually led to the road of “restoring ancient ways”and formed the calligraphy style in the early Ming Dynasty with “Li” as the fashion. |
