Nowadays, with the rapid development of China’s foreign exchange work, teaching Chinese as a foreign language has become an important task at present. Various Chinese as a foreign language textbooks, mainly divided into special series of teaching materials,such as spoken language teaching listening teaching, writing teaching, etc. Teaching Chinese as a foreign language researchers around the different country, related to learners’ learning status cannot be ignored. To some extent, the key to open the door to foreign exchange is the quality of the teaching Chinese as a foreign language. At present, Chinese textbooks can be towards the deeper and broader level and discussed in this paper. This article aims to compare and to analyze two comprehensive series of textbooks---New Practical Chinese Textbooks(intermediate),and The Evolution of Chinese which has higher authority and operating frequency. On the basis of using the formers’ research achievements for reference, I summarized the compiling features of the two versions and found the delicate differences between them in order to provide some valuable advice in the later text compiling.This article consists of five chapters. The first chapter is introduction, which introduces the research significance and research status of the two sets of textbooks. The second chapter is vocabulary contrastive analysis between two versions, which analyzes the number, annotation, and arrangement of the new words. The third chapter is the text contrastive analysis between two versions, nwhich mainly summarizes the themes and genres of two teaching materials. The forth chapter is the grammar program contrastive analysis between two versions, which makes a research in the difficult level and the key points of grammars. The fifth chapter is the exercises contrastive analysis between two versions, which draws a conclusion about the types and the quantities of the exercises in the two teaching materials.In fact, two sets of intermediate stages of comprehensive teaching Chinese haven’t relative merits, but have distinguishing feature. Predecessors’ experience is summed up in the follow-up teaching material, rapid leap laid a solid foundation. Such as new practical Chinese textbooks(intermediate), but professional highlight disciplines make learners to compare the "professional" intention at the same time. The development of Chinese(intermediate) overall writing is more flexible, fun, communicative, and through the teaching material, opened the new trend of comprehensive Chinese as a foreign language textbook compilation.
