A Practice Report On The Simultaneous Interpreting Of “Changes On China’s Finance In Past 70 Years”

The research topic of this report is how to deal with the difficulties encountered in interpreting practice of finance and economics lectures under the guidance of Interpretive Theory.The author will participate in the interpretation of the recording into the text,through discourse analysis to analyze the text.Discourse analysis is a commonly used method to study language,mainly to study speech acts in a specific context.Interpretation involves specific speech activities and behaviors in both source and target languages.Through the use of discourse analysis methods,the interpreter’s output can be studied.This report is based on the interpretation practice of this lecture and combined with the basic viewpoints of the Paris interpretation theory.Danica Seleskovitch,the founder of interpretive theory,divides interpretation into three stages: understanding,de-verbalization,and repression.As a communicative behavior,interpretation should focus on meaning,not only on the translation of the surface structure of the source language,but also on clearly conveying the meaning of the speaker in the target language in a manner consistent with the language habits of the audience.The full combination of interpretive theory in practice can help the translator overcome some problems encountered in the practice of interpretation effectively,thus facilitating the transmission of information.Through discourse analysis,the author classifies the types of difficulties in the source language and analyzes them under the guidance the three stages of interpretive theory,so as to draw some conclusions on Interpretive Theory.In this way,I hope to make myself more comfortable in applying the theory of interpretation in future interpretation activities and improve my translation skills.I also hope that this report can provide some reference for other interpreters in their practice activities.In this way,the author hopes to use interpretation theory more freely in future interpretation activities and constantly improve his/her translation skills.In addition,the author also hopes that this report can be used as a reference for other interpreters’ practical activities.
