The report is based on a consecutive interpretation to a lecture of myoporthosis. The author accomplished the interpretation task under the guidance of the Interpretive Theory. As a representative theory of interpretation, the theory focuses on sense conveyance. In other words,it emphasizes on understanding instead of literal translation.Guided by that, the author interpreted the lecture mainly on the basis of comprehension. This interpretation report is divided into four parts: the first part is task description, mainly introducing the background and requirements of the consecutive interpretation. The second part is interpretation description, including interpretation preparation, interpreting as well as post-interpreting review. The third part is about theoretical guidance, concluding its guidance in different parts of the interpretation process.Under the guidance of the theory, the fourth part is case analysis on problems encountered in the interpretation, like how to deal with differences of expressive habits, time limit, unexpected terminologies, etc. From the perspective of the Interpretive Theory, some strategies are used to deal with those problems, including linguistic adjustment, comprehension priority, logical analysis and information anticipation. At last, the author summarizes the deficiencies in this interpretation and experience accumulated. The author hopes more interpreters can learn some experience from this report when faced with similar problems.
