In 2020,the traditional offline teaching could not be normally carried out,owing to the novel coronavirus spread all over the world and the population movement was limited.In that case,the online teaching advances with the times and steps onto the historical stage.For the Teaching of Chinese as a Foreign Language(TCFL),which is an "internationally sensitive" major,the online TCFL has become a bridge connecting international students and Chinese language teachers,solving the problem that foreign students cannot study in China during that particular time.However,online TCFL is not just the direct online transformation of the traditional offline teaching methods.In addition to the lack of teaching experience due to the short cycle of advancement,we also have to face many challenges such as the time difference of students from different countries,the network stability,and the unstable psychological state of students.Therefore,it is particularly important to design an effective online teaching plan for Chinese as a foreign language,combining with the current situation of online teaching,following the basic principles and learning the rules of Chinese as a foreign language.From the theory of TCFL,this study analyzes the principles of online teaching,the situation of students,teaching objectives,teaching content and teaching process and so on,in order to ensure orderliness and scientificness of teaching design.And this study takes Qipao,the 12 th lesson of the first volume of intermediate Chinese in Developing Chinese,as an example to carry out a systematic and complete online teaching design.It is expected to provide references for the practical research of online TCFL.This thesis contains four chapters.The first chapter briefly introduces the research background as well as the significance of this study,analyzes the research status of teaching design and the online TCFL,and expounds the research purpose,content and method.The second chapter describes the basic theory and teaching principles of Chinese as a foreign language design.The third chapter analyses the teaching environment,teaching objects,teaching materials,class types,and carries out a complete online teaching design of Qipao,according to teaching objectives,content,important and difficult points,methods and process.The final chapter evaluates and reflects on the online teaching design.
