Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the development of language and writing has taken on a new look.As an important position to popularize the national common language and characters,higher vocational colleges should constantly explore and improve students’ interest in learning the national common language and characters,so that students can imperceptibly improve the comprehensive application level of the national common language and characters in and out of class.The main way of learning the national common language and characters for ethnic minority preparatory students is classroom teaching.But in addition to classroom teaching,students can also accept the knowledge of the national common language through various more flexible and changeable "second classroom" ways.These methods improve the students’ communication,reading and listening ability in a subtle way,and even provide them with a platform to exercise and show themselves.It is a perfect supplement and flexible use of classroom teaching.This paper aims to investigate the current situation and influencing factors of the activities of the second class of national general language and characters in Karamay vocational and technical college,and provide scientific basis for the activities of the second class of national general language and characters in Higher Vocational Colleges in our district,as well as valuable ideas for related theoretical research.This paper mainly includes the following parts:The first part: the introduction part,which describes the reason,significance and purpose of this study.This paper combs the literature about the second classroom activities at home and abroad,clarifies the research object,research ideas and research methods of this paper.The second part: to define the concept of higher vocational colleges,the second classroom,the second classroom of national common language.Based on Bruner’s cognitive discovery theory and constructivism theory,this paper studies the theoretical basis.The third part: draw lessons from the former dimension division,use the questionnaire method,interview method,comparative analysis method,observation method to analyze the current situation of the second classroom activity of national common language and characters of the research school from the following aspects:the basic situation of the participants;the content and form of the activity;the willingness and demand of participating in the activity;the effect and evaluation of the activity.The fourth part: combined with the results of questionnaire,interview,observation and analysis,to find out the problems existing in the second classroom activities of general language and characters in Higher Vocational countries,mainly including: Teachers’ low enthusiasm for participating in activities;the type of activities is relatively single;the lack of collection and adoption of students’ opinions;part of the effects of activities are quite different from the assumptions.The main reasons for the above problems are: lack of reward and punishment and evaluation mechanism;lack of understanding of participants’ needs;lack of assessment and feedback mechanism for activities;and the way of activities to be improved.The fifth part: put forward the corresponding solutions to the existing problems:understand the students’ willingness to learn;improve and perfect the relevant management,supervision and evaluation system;enrich the types of activities,comprehensively improve the comprehensive level of students;strengthen the publicity of activities,optimize the organizational form;the first classroom and the second classroom synergy.
