With the continuous development of Chinese international education specialty,modem Chinese teaching has become more and more perfect, and the setting of ancient Chinese course and the discussion of teaching strategies gradually attract attention. At present, there are different situations of offering ancient Chinese course in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language at home and abroad. It is widely debated whether ancient Chinese courses should be offered at the undergraduate level or not. The author thinks that this course can be or have to be offered, because the study of ancient Chinese is not only the learning of language, but also very important for Thai students to learn ancient Chinese poetry and have a more profound understanding of Chinese classical culture and further study written language of modern Chinese. Nowadays, some universities in Thailand have offered ancient Chinese courses in Chinese undergraduate specialty.In view of the Chinese learning characteristics and needs of Thai students majoring in Chinese specialty, the author combines with teaching practice and discusses the teaching strategies in an innovated way, which can not only change the stereotyped image of ancient Chinese boring and difficult to understand, but also promote students to study modern Chinese.This paper analyzes the current situation of ancient Chinese learning of Thai students majoring in Chinese, the existing teaching process and teaching materials, starts from the aspects of teaching content and classroom activities and flexible use of various teaching methods, and puts forward some teaching suggestions on improving the ancient Chinese learning of Thai students majoring in Chinese, so as to improve their interest in learning ancient Chinese.
