In recent years,with the increasing number of inbound and outbound tours,the demand for tour guides,having both tourism expertise and good foreign language communication skills has been increasing.Because of the poor English foundation of most vocational school students,the single teaching mode and lack of practicality,the students majoring in tourism in vocational schools can?t meet the needs of the market,so the reform of tourism English teaching in vocational school is imminent.With the popularity of mobile phones,mobile learning emerges as required,and gradually becomes a new way of learning.Mobile learning attracts learners with its convenience,strong interaction and rich content.In view of the above,this thesis mainly discusses how to apply mobile learning to the listening and speaking teaching in tourism English in vocational school.Based on the theory of product-oriented approach and the theory of informal learning,and the relevant literatures on mobile learning and tourism English teaching at home and abroad,taking the students majoring in tourism in a certain vocational school as research objects,in view of the current learning situation,teaching content of vocational school and the English curriculum standards of vocational school,through action research method,experimental method,questionnaire survey,interview and classroom practice,this thesis investigates the existing problems in teaching and learning tourism English firstly,and then analyzes the results,applies the proper listening and speaking teaching strategies to classroom teaching to solve the existing problems.During the teaching practice,the“Vocational Tourism English Wechat Subscription” is used as the listening resources,the MET App as the oral English practicing resources.After the first teaching practice,there appear several new problems,so the teaching strategies and practice are adjusted again and again.After continuous implements and teaching reflections,it can be concluded: 1.timely feedback function of mobile software can improve learners’ self-efficacy;2.the key to mobile learning is the effective supervision of mobile learning;3.applying mobile-learning to listening and speaking teaching in tourism English in vocational schools can improve students’ English speaking and listening ability effectively. |
