In recect years, with the development of world economy, theelevation of living standard in China and the increasingly closerinternational links, the tourism industries develop rapidly in China. Thedemand on professionals of Tourism English is also higher and higher.Tourism development is greatly in need of a large number ofprofessionals of Tourism English with high abilities of listening andspeaking,and practical skills.The students majoring in Tourism Englishhave a poor level in Higher Vocational Colleges, especially their abilitiesto speak and listen are relatively low. Why? The old, backward teachingmeans and many other factors make students lose their joy, lacked theirenthusiasm and lower their abilities on listening and speaking, besidesthe society and students understand Tourism one-sidedly, thecharacteristics of Higher Vocational Colleges and the own reason ofListening and Speaking Course of Tourism English. To arouse theenthusiasm of students’ learning to improve students’ Listening andSpeaking abilities and professional qualities in practically, we mayconsider exerting the Input Hypothesis in teaching listening andspeaking course of Tourism English. To drive the enthusiasm of thestudents through it, we should affirm and stimulate them more, makethem take part in studying Listening and Speaking Course actively.Through practices, the Input Hypothesis obtained good effects inteaching listening and speaking course of Tourism English in HigherVocational Colleges. |
