A Religious Study Of Mou Zongsan’s "Moral Metaphysics"

Mou zongsan is one of the most representative figures of modern neo-confucianism in China.He is known as the most creative philosopher in contemporary China.Mou zongsan was talented and knowledgeable in both China and the west.After decades of study,he finally constructed a new form of contemporary Confucianism,"moral metaphysics",which combines religious spirit and Kant’s philosophy.According to mou zongsan,his "moral metaphysics" is both philosophy and religion.Therefore,religion is an essential characteristic of mu zongsan’s moral metaphysics.This paper focuses on the comprehensive and dynamic development of religious character in the philosophical system of religion,"moral metaphysics" of mou zongsan.Through this in-depth study,we can understand more deeply that mou zongsan’s "moral metaphysics" is a religion,and a complete religion.This article is divided into five chapters,the general logical structure is as follows: the first chapter introduction part through the simple introduction for one hundred battle over the problem of "Confucianism",the introduction of mou zongsan "moral metaphysics" the issues of religious study,At the same time,it summarizes the existing achievements and shortcomings of scholars’ religious research on mu zongsan’s "moral metaphysics" the existing achievements and shortcomings of religious study,determine the research content of this article is to clarify its research meaning.The second chapter mainly discusses Mou Zongsan’s summary of religion and religion and his criticism of the traditional religious form,and constructs a new religious form,"the religion of Virtue",which serves as his standard philosophical model for constructing the religious form of "moral metaphysics".The third chapter is the focus of this paper,which mainly demonstrates the religious course of "moral metaphysics" comprehensively and deeply on the basis of establishing the model of moral doctrine.Mou zongsan sorted out the religious principles of "moral metaphysics" through the analysis of the pre-qin Confucian theories.The standard religious form of "moral metaphysics" was determined through the investigation and discrimination of various schools of daoism in song and Ming dynasties.Kant’s philosophy is the "stone of other mountains" for mou zongsan to show his "moral metaphysics" religiousness,and it is the scientific nature and insight of Kant’s philosophy that provide scientific method and profound philosophy for mou zongsan to show his "moral metaphysics" religiousness.Along the footsteps of Kant,mou zongsan finally constructed the "moral metaphysics" and established the religion ofvirtue in his mind.The fourth chapter mainly demonstrates the religious characteristics of "moral metaphysics".The religious form of "moral metaphysics" has the essential characteristics that traditional religious form does not have,which can be said from the functional level and the ultimate level.On the functional level,"moral metaphysics" shows two characteristics: clear human orientation and emphasis on personal self-consciousness.At the ultimate level,moral metaphysics exhibits two more fundamental qualities: Complete religion and A complete good.The fifth chapter is the conclusion.At the end of the article,some reflections are given on the philosophical system of "moral metaphysics",and a unique positioning is given to mou zongsan and his "moral metaphysics"."The heart of infinite wisdom" is the foundation of constructing "moral metaphysics".In essence,the development process of mouzongshan’s "moral metaphysics" is that the "The heart of infinite wisdom" is transformed into the spiritual subject and the celestial subject,Spiritual noumenon and celestial noumenon return to the process of "The heart of infinite wisdom" through moral practice.
