| Reading is the top priority of high school English learning.The 2017 edition of the General Senior High School English Curriculum Standard also has clear criteria for the level of reading that students should achieve.At the same time,reading comprehension is also the main content of the college entrance examination.However,in the actual teaching,many English teachers still mainly focus on language points and long sentences in the reading class,which leads to the students not being able to fully read and understand the articles,which seriously affects the effect of students’ reading.As a new thinking tool,mind map mainly uses radioactive thinking to embody radioactive thinking through elements such as keywords,colors and images,thus improving people’s memory and understanding.This study aims to apply the mind mapping tool to the teaching of high school English explanations and narratives.Finally,this study stimulates students’ interest in English learning and improves their English reading performance.The author selected two parallel classes in the first grade of the 13 th Middle School of Karamay City as experimental subjects.The experiment time was from March 2018 to June 2018 for a period of three months.In this study,the teaching experiment method and the questionnaire survey method were used to control the English reading teaching in different classes and experimental classes.The experimental class used the mind mapping tool in English reading teaching.Design a mind map based on explanatory texts and narratives and its teaching steps,and give corresponding teaching cases.After the experiment,the data was imported into the SPSS22 software,and the research data of the two classes were collated and analyzed,and the conclusion was drawn accordingly.According to the research data of the two classes,the application of the mind mapping tool to the reading and teaching of high school English explanations and narratives has greatly improved the English reading interest of the experimental class students,and the English reading performance has been significantly improved.It is indicated that the English reading teaching mode based on mind map has significant teaching effects in English explanatory and narrative texts,and it is worth promoting. |
