A Study On The Moral Education Thought And Its Contemporary Value In Tan-Jing

Tan-Jing(Platform Sutra)as the only Buddhist literary work entitled with Sutra in China,has a distinct position in the history of Chinese Buddhism and Chinese ideology and culture.,In the development course of the spread and promotion of Chinese culture,Huineng’s Zen thought is undoubtedly one of the representative sects of Chinese culture,which has a profound influence on future generations.The research scope of Tan-Jing(Platform Sutra)thoughts is all over the specialized fields,and the research results are remarkable.Based on this,it is analyzed in this study the distinctive ideas of moral education in Tan-Jing(Platform Sutra),which can provide some reference and inspiration for contemporary moral education.Firstly,it is introduced in this study the outline of Tan-Jing(Platform Sutra).In the theoretical summarizing of the historical origin of Huineng’s thoughts and the basic thoughts of Tan-Jing(Platform Sutra),by clarifying the historical backdrop of Huineng’s times and summarizing the core thoughts of Tan-Jing(Platform Sutra),in this study,it is explored the distinctive ideas of Buddha nature,emptiness,indifference,Middle Way and consistent in Tan-Jing(Platform Sutra).Secondly,starts from the perspective of moral education,the study draws on the research ideas of predecessors on the thoughts of Tan-Jing(Platform Sutra).In this study,it is made a detailed interpretation of the moral education concept in the thoughts of Tan-Jing(Platform Sutra),systematically expounded the moral education concept of Tan-Jing(Platform Sutra)from the following four aspects:clarifying of philosophy,choosing of method,process of acquiring knowledge,and the demonstration of supreme,and expounded the function of moral education thoughts Tan-Jing(Platform Sutra)in the spread of Zen Buddhism,and then affirms the contemporary value and significance of the moral education idea in Tan-Jing(Platform Sutra),which contains the subject spirit,the concept of epiphany,the thought of immortal Buddhism,and the thought of enlightenment.Lastly,it is explored in the study the reference significance of the moral education thoughts of Tan-Jing(Platform Sutra)to contemporary moral education in the following four aspects:educational philosophy,content of education,educational method and environmental atmosphere.In terms of educational philosophy,it is advocated in Platform Sutra that the public should “zi-xiu-zi-jie” and attach importance to the inner awakening of the subjectivity of moral education.In terms of content of education,it is put forward the teaching essence of “kai-wu-jian-dao”,aiming at cultivating the coordinated development of physical and mental fulfilment.In terms of educational method,Tan-Jing(Platform Sutra)has a distinctive mode of communication,that is,the use of the “yi-xin-chuan-xin” approach to enhance interaction.In terms of environmental atmosphere,it emphasizes the “qing-jing-ping-deng” between human and nature,and the concept of equality is extended into social harmony.
