| Chinese characters teaching is one of the difficulties in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Through surveys and interviews,we find that non-Chinese character cultural circle learners have a relatively strong fear of learning Chinese characters, which seriously affects their learning process. In addition, their fear of Chinese characters learning mainly lies in understanding and memorizing. In order to solve this problem,we start from the thinking pattern, attempting to analyze the imagery thinking process of Chinese characters. The imagery thinking of Chinese characters is manifested in the abstract form of "A is like B",which is embodied in the structure of Chinese characters, the shape of Chinese characters and the extension of semantics.Imagery is mainly presented in the form of mental images or mental schemas. This article focuses on the application of Chinese character imagery thinking in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and aims to improve the acceptance and comprehension of Chinese characters for non-Chinese character culture background learners,so as to obtain better teaching effects. The article takes "Fire" image and "Fire" characters teaching as an example to carry out instructional design.By building a network of "Fire" imagery and comparing Chinese and foreign cultures,we focus on improving students’ image recognition and creativity, thereby improving the imagery thinking ability. This article mainly adopts research methods such as literature review, theoretical analysis, chart analysis, etc.and integrates relevant concepts of cognitive linguistics, psychology and language acquisition to supplement the interdisciplinary explanation of imagery thinking, and make teaching design combined with the "Fire" image and "Fire" characters.Practice shows that emphasizing the thinking mode of Chinese characters is an effective way of teaching. With the development of teaching and relevant research,we hope that in the future more Chinese character images being combined in building a practical and systematic application platform. |
