| It is a new trend of study to pay attention to the cultivation of senior high school students’ English core literacy.Literature review indicates that theoretically group reading teaching is highly consistent with the cultivation of high school English core literacy,so group reading teaching can be carried out.At present,the research on how to carry out group reading teaching in senior high school English is still insufficient.Based on this,this research focuses on group reading teaching in senior high school under the background of core literacy.This study focuses on answering two questions:(1)What principles and strategies should be followed in the implementation of group reading teaching in senior high school under the background of core literacy?(2)What difficulties exist in the implementation of group reading teaching in senior high school under the background of core literacy and how to improve them?To answer these questions,the author conducted an experimental study on 100 senior high school students with the guidance of constructivism theory and text intertextuality theory based on literature review at home and abroad.Through data analysis,this thesis presents the value of group reading on the cultivation of high school English core literacy.To answer these questions,100 senior high school students were chosen as research subjects,and were divided into two groups.The control group was given routine teaching,and the experimental group was given group reading teaching.Findings show that group reading teaching has the following values in cultivating senior high school students’ English core literacy.It is helpful to improve students’ test scores,to cultivate students’ pragmatic ability of vocabulary application and expression,to cultivate students’ thinking quality,to cultivate students’ cultural awareness and to cultivate students’ partial learning ability.In the implementation of group reading teaching,the author found that there are problems such as the lack of attention to students’ pronunciation and reading aloud,which affect listening training,task-based teaching pressure affects students’ interest inlearning,and students have a weak grasp of vocabulary memorization and too much reliance on students’ summary affects the systematization of knowledge.This thesis puts forward some strategies to optimize the teaching of English group reading in senior high school.This including to combine reading aloud teaching and to cultivate students’ listening ability;to pay attention to drive to cultivate students’ interest in English learning;Focus on vocabulary firmly mastering teaching and further coordinating the relevance between teaching and learning.It is hoped that the improved implementation strategies proposed in this thesis can provide new reference for the implementation of group reading teaching mode in senior high school English curriculum. |
