In recent years, more and more professors and students begin to publish papers in SCI with the development of famous universities in China.Since publishing SCI journals requires a high level of English, although many authors can directly complete the English writing work by themselves when publishing SCI papers, some scholars are limited to English proficiency. When publishing papers, they need to write the first draft in Chinese and then ask the professional translator for translation. The text of electrical engineering, which belongs to the category of scientific and technical English,is one of the texts that are often used in this way,and it has a strong specialty. This provides a wide space for translators engaged in C-E translation, but at the same time and puts forward high requirements for the professional level of translators. This report takes the translation of two academic papers which are commissioned by the author to translate in Chinese and English and have been successfully published in SCI journal as examples.Based on the linguistic features of the original text at lexical, syntactical and textual levels, this paper will make the case study of the problems encountered in the author’s translation practice.Through this translation practice, the author has increased the professional translation knowledge reserve in the field of electrical engineering, and summarized the strategies and skills of Chinese-English translation of electrical engineering texts,so that the translation can be more standardized, thereby further expanding the text type theory in electrical engineering text translation and providing some references for the research of electrical engineering text translation.
