| With the vigorous development of "all-region tourism" and the continuous improvement of people’s aesthetic consciousness,the competition among cities is not limited to the competition of resources,scale and economy,but more for the competition of urban visual environment and people’s quality of life,namely,the competition of "city image".As an important embodiment of the "soft value" competitiveness of a city,the visual image of a city is an important factor for the outside world to judge the quality of a city’s development.It is also one of the important reasons that affect the comprehensive competitiveness of a city,attract talents and investment,and improve the tourism value.Qinhuangdao,famous for its seaside holidays,Great Wall Pass and good northern port,is rich in tourism resources,but it has not formed a distinct and unique city image,and is facing the problem of city image homogenization.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to make Qinhuangdao stand out in the city image of "thousands of cities are the same" and to speed up the construction of "international first-class tourist city" by making every effort to create the most powerful and appealing city visual image.Under the goal of improving the visual environment of the city and enhancing the competitiveness of the city,this paper studies the visual image of the city of Qinhuangdao from theory to method.The author through extensive literature reading,data collection,such as analysis of the semiology theory knowledge and define the scope of research in the visual image of the city,which contains the city visual identity system is the core factor(urban symbol,city color standard,city representatives)and public view elements(urban public signs,urban public facilities,urban traffic system,urban public art).On this basis,this paper analyzes the image of the city of Qinhuangdao,and combined with the definition of the scope of field research,found that the visual image of the city of Qinhuangdao at present there are insufficient historical and cultural inheritance,lack of regional characteristics,urban visual disorder problems.Based on the results of questionnaire survey and field investigation,this paper analyzes and constructs the visual image symbol system of qinhuangdao city with the support of semeiological structure,semantics and pragmatics theory.Then,from ceaseless historical context,show regional characteristics,the use of modern science and technology three points of view to put forward the overall planning strategy of the visual image of the city of Qinhuangdao,planning the general direction of the specific design.Then combined with the theory of semiotics,this paper puts forward the design methods and strategies of the visual image of Qinhuangdao city.Finally,the design results are taken as the verification of theoretical results to further verify the feasibility of applying semiotics to urban visual image design.The research results of this topic are beneficial to further promote the construction of the visual image system of Qinhuangdao city and the shaping of the city’s characteristic image,provide a good visual environment for the users of Qinhuangdao city,and provide a theoretical basis and reference direction for designers and researchers of the city’s visual image. |
