Report On E-C Translation Of Data-intensive Innovation And The State:Evidence From AI Firms In China (Excerpts)

This report comes from the translation task,E-C translation of the paper,Data-intensive Innovation and the State:Evidence from AI Firms in China.The source text is about data-intensive innovation and the present state,and takes Chinese AI firms as the research objects to provide convincing evidence.Translation of such kind of papers will help us to learn something about current situation of cutting-edge technologies such as data-intensive innovation,thus promoting the development of innovation in fields such as AI.Based on the lexical,syntactical and textual features of the source text,the author introduces the Text Analysis Model proposed by Christian Nord to analyze intratextual factors and extratextual factors of the source text.Splitting,restructuring,conversion and some other translation methods are used to deal with the difficulties in terminologies,nominalizations,long and complicated sentences,passives sentences and imperative sentences during translation process.At last,the author concludes the gains and limitations of the project.The author hopes that this report can provide a way of thinking and guidance for further scientific text translation study.The report consist of four parts:task description,translation process,difficulties and solutions in the translation process and conclusion.
