| In recent years,English picture books have been gradually introduced into English teaching class in primary school.The vivid pictures and the short poems not only adapt to the psychological characteristics of the students in the lower grade of primary school,but also meet the humanistic goal of English teaching in primary school.However,in the actual teaching,there appear some problems,such as insufficient understanding of teaching and unreasonable teaching design.In order to study the current situation of English picture book teaching,I take j school in Z city as an example and interview five English teachers in lower grades and conduct classroom observation,so as to understand the real situation of teachers’ picture book teaching and identify the problems,then I find out the reasons and put forward countermeasures to promote the teaching of picture books.The research shows that the teaching goal of using picture book is not clear,students don’t think enough during the teaching process and the teaching method is single,I find out three reasons of the problems by further exploring,the first reason is that the teachers lack of understanding of picture book teaching,the second reason is that their teaching ability is not strong,the third reason is that the picture book teaching environment is bad,so I put forward the corresponding improvement countermeasures,there are as follows: recognizing the picture book teaching situation,perfecting the picture book resource concept;Clear picture book teaching goal,pay attention to picture book picture interpretation,enrich picture book teaching method,perfect picture book teaching process;increase the teaching time of picture books,improve and perfect the evaluation of picture book teaching,so as to promote the teaching of English picture book at J school. |
