| Students generally lack interest and motivation for English reading training.Therefore,it is very necessary to help students find an effective English reading mode to improve their English reading enthusiasm and English reading comprehension ability.This paper firstly expounds the related concepts and theoretical basis of Helbling Classic Reading,and then gives a possible mode to be carried out in junior high schools,At last,test,questionnaire and interview methods are used to quantitatively and qualitatively analyze the data collected by two classes’ students in the first grade of a junior high school in Yangzhou,to explore the influence of Helbling Classic Reading on the learning effect and reading behaviour of junior high school students,from which conclusions and enlightenment are drawn.There are two main research questions in this study:how does Helbling Classic Reading influence English reading level of junior high school students and what are the specific aspects of Helbling Classic Reading’s influence on English reading of junior high school students.The purpose of this paper is to improve the reading interest of students through Helbling Classic Reading,to develop students’ good reading skills and habits,so as to improve the effectiveness of reading teaching.The results of this study show that,first,Helbling Classical Reading can improve the English reading level of junior high school students.Second,Helbling Classical Reading can change the reading behaviour of junior high school students.Although the survey used in this paper has certain generalizability,the sample size is limited.A comprehensive analysis of the issue will require further expansion of the scope of the investigation.Limited by knowledge,energy,and depth of understanding,there are many aspects of research that need to be further improved in future empirical research. |
